What do I need to know before I get started?

Well I am back after a little of technical issues. Technical issues being Blogger locking me out of my blog.

If you are thinking about getting started playing at online casinos, there are a few things you should know and a few things you should do.

1. Get a new email account for just online casinos. It will help keep all of your login ID's and other email traffic separate from your main email account. Also it is fairly common that you will receive spam and other offers.

If you need one, I will send you an invite for a Gmail address. I use Gmail, and I like it mostly because they give you a ton of space. You never have to delete anything, it is easy to search for mail, you can set up folders, etc. Yahoo and other free email addresses are also good.

2. Get a Neteller account.
It will make you life a lot easier. Neteller is exactly like Paypal, except you can deposit money into an online casino with Neteller. It is the preferred payment method for a majority of casinos. Many casino will pay directly to your neteller account a day or two after you request it, versus mailing a check or other slower methods.

3. Read the terms and conditions of every single casino before you sign up and deposit.
Sites like CasinoDave.com and others try their best to keep up with all the casinos out there, but it is impossible to keep up with all of them. They do not change every day or anything like that, but they can change. Know what you are agreeing to. If you ever have a question, ask me, ask customer support, verify before you start.

4. Take a scan of your drivers license and a couple of utility bills with your address on them.
I would estimate that a little less then half of the online casinos will ask for one or all of these things when you are cashing out. You can black out any numbers or info you do not feel comfortable sharing. The only thing they care about is your address, your name, and your age. They want to make sure you are who you say you are. This leads right into the next item.

5. Do not lie about your information when you are signing up.
Again, about half the places will ask for verification, and sometimes the other half will occasionally. You do not want to forfeit a big win by providing false information.

6. Not all online casinos are legitimate.
There are a ton of bogus and rouge online casinos out there. Every casino on CasinoDave.com has been screened by me personally. I have played at all of them, verify that they are legitimate and will pay out. I have contacts at all these casinos in case there is a problem for fast resolutions. If I hear of any complaints, they are considered and in some cases the problem childs are removed.

Ok, that is enough for now. You can read more about this topic here. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have
