Tonight we have LeBron James and the Cavs (-6.5 at theGreek) taking on Vince Carter and the Nets in the early game on TNT. This is followed up by Kobe and the Lakers (-3 at theGreek) hosting the LA Clippers.

Nets magic number is 2 to get into the playoffs. Cavs are down a half game to Chicago for the second seed. These teams usually play very close games.

Some decent looking stats for the Nets tonight:

• Nets are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
• Nets are 11-3-1 ATS in their last 15 games as a road underdog of 5.0-10.5.
• Nets are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 vs. NBA Central.
• Cavaliers are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5.
• Cavaliers are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record.
• Cavaliers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.

The Clippers are in the 9th seed by half a game, and need this one pretty badly. It really isn't much of a road game playing the Lakers in the same building. The Lakers will continue to throw games until they can lock up that 7 seed to play the Suns. I might throw some on the moneyline too, but might need those 3 points knowing that Corey Maguette is playing.

For both these games, I would hit them up close to game time as you may get some late action on the favorites to drive up the line.
